Learning Outcomes

Program Outcomes (POs):

PO1: Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, research literature, and analyze complex design problems reaching substantiated conclusions using elements and principles of design.

PO2: Communication: Communicate effectively on complex design activities with the design community and with society at large, such as, being able to comprehend and write effective reports and design documentation, make effective presentations, and give and receive clear instructions.

PO3: Design Knowledge: Apply the knowledge of design fundamentals, and a specialization to the solution of complex design problems.

PO4: Design/Development of solutions: Design solutions for complex problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.

PO5: Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern designing and IT tools including prediction and modelling to complex designing activities with an understanding of the limitations.

PO6: Project Management and Finance: Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the design and management principles and apply these to one’s own work, as a member and leader in a team, to manage projects and in multidisciplinary environments.

PO7: Conduct Investigations of Complex Problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.

PO8: The Designer and Society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional design practice.

PO9: Individual and team work: Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse teams, and in multidisciplinary settings.

PO10: Ethics: Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the designing practice.

PO11: Environment and Sustainability: Understand the impact of the professional designing solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.

PO12: Life-long learning: Recognize the need for and have the preparation and ability to engage in independent and life- long learning in the broadest context of technological change.

Program Educational Objectives

PEO1: Demonstrate competency across business disciplines, specifically apply the essential elements of core business principles to analyze and evaluate problems and to construct and implement solutions in the business environment

PEO2: Perform teamwork and leadership skills in the evaluation of organizational conditions using a system perspective to determine necessary action.

PEO3: Practice high level of professionalism necessary to deliver the knowledge, expertise and skill of students through the application of research to business problems and issues.

PEO4: Demonstrate an understanding and appreciation of ethical principles at both the professional and community levels.

PEO5: Apply critical reasoning process to specifically employ appropriate analytical models to evaluate evidence, select among alternatives, and generate creative options in furtherance of effective decision making.

PEO6: Develop superior oral and written communication skills relevant to business process effective communication skills, specifically write business documents clearly, and analytically and speak in groups and in public clearly, concisely and analytically, with appropriate use of visual aids.

Program Specific Outcomes

PSO1: The student will be able to analyze the market structure, operational procedures of the industry for design solutions, client’s specifications in terms of domestic and international market following trend forecasting, quality standards sustainability prevailing in the Fashion and Textile Industry.

PSO2: Achieve professionalism, expertise presentations, demonstrate proficiency and working with creative hand skills, presentation technology, uses of indigenous material adorn global role play.

PSO3: Ability to analyze Fashion and Textile design with intelligence and contextual association in terms of issues related to the subject and its international and national relevance.

PSO4: To formulate and hypothesize the design brief practically take initiative, plan, organize, consider, fulfill the set objectives, merge research activities and deliver project outcomes.
