Program Overview

Bachelor of Design (B.Des) in Interior Design is an immersive journey into the world of spatial aesthetics, functionality, and creativity. This program goes beyond mere decoration, focusing on crafting immersive environments that harmonize form and function. Students delve into architectural principles, color theory, material science, and design psychology, mastering the art of transforming spaces. Through hands-on projects and industry exposure, graduates emerge as visionaries, adept at conceptualizing and executing designs that redefine living and working spaces, leaving an indelible mark on the world of interior architecture.

Duration- 4 Years Program

  • Lateral Entry in second year is available for diploma (3 year) students

Pass in 10+2 with minimum 50% (45% for SC/ST/ OBC/SBC/Girls) marks in aggregate from CBSE / equivalent board

Scholarship Award and Criteria

  • The scholarship is granted based on the tuition fee
  • Scholarships are determined based on the aggregate marks of the best five subjects.
  • If the percentage has already been calculated by the board & mentioned on the marksheet, that will be considered and there will be no opportunity to recalculate using the best five subjects
  • Awarded to 2024 & 2025 (10+2) pass-out students only

Eligibility and Restrictions

  • Students with a compartment in 12th are ineligible for UG program scholarships, even with provisional admission
  • Each student can receive only one scholarship at a time.
  • No changes to scholarship category are allowed during the same or later years of the program
  • It is not possible to change the type of scholarship/ category

Scholarship Continuation Criteria

  • Continuation is based on the SGPA of the previous year (Theory Papers Only)
  • Backlogs in the previous year lead to scholarship discontinuation for all upcoming years.
  • Once discontinued, a scholarship will not be reinstated during the remaining duration of the program.

  • Awarded to all eligible students for admission and throughout the entire program duration

Poornima University Gramin Shiksha Yojna:

  • Scholarship covers tuition and development fees
  • Adopted Gram Panchayats: Beelwa, Ashawala, Vidhani, Bari ka Bas, Shree Ram Ki Nangal, and Chandlai
  • Maximum 5 students from each village based on the merit list
  • Minimum 60% marks in 12th is required.
  • Schooling must be from the same village

Scholarship Continuity:

  • The type of scholarship or category cannot be changed in the future
  • Students receive the same scholarship type in future years, meeting the requirements

Scholarship for Children of Defence Personnel and Working Defence Personnel:

  • Applicable to wards of Indian Army, Indian Navy, and Indian Air Force personnel
  • Open to those who have served or are currently serving in the defence forces
