Program Outcomes (POs):

PO1: Student will be able to gain in depth understanding of historical aspect of Public health as well as of existing Indian Public health system.

PO2: Students will be able to identify public health issues in relevance to community and health

system.

PO3: Student will be able to collect and interpret various kinds of information.

PO4: Student will be able to interpret the results and predict the trends related to public health.

PO5: Student will be able to conduct situational analysis of public health issues and plan

intervention accordingly.

PO6: Student will be able to assess the effect of Public health interventions.

PO7: Student will be able to design effective communication strategies for advocacy and health

promotion.

PO8: Student will be able to demonstrate skills to address global, national and local public health challenges.

PO9: Student will be able to demonstrate communication skills for advocacy, dissemination and evaluation of health data and information.

PO10: Student will be able to demonstrate ability to define problems, formulate hypotheses, test hypotheses, analyse, interpret and draw conclusions from the data.

PO11: Student will be able to integrate dimensions of social and behavioural determinants in all public health programs planning and implementation advocacy, policy; planning, implementation and evaluation of programmes.

Program Specific Outcomes

PSO1: Understand population needs, assets and capacities that affect community’s health. Demonstrate quality management techniques, principles of leadership, policy development, budgeting and program management in the planning, implementation and evaluation of health programs.

PSO2: Understand the relationship between behavioural, social and cultural factors and community health, that impact individual & population health and health disparities over the life course.

PSO3: Define epidemiologic methods to analyse patterns of disease and injury to identify and apply appropriate statistical methods to describe and analyse a public health problem by operational research in institutional and field settings.

PSO4: Gain knowledge about efficient and equitable allocation of resources and development of strategies to promote cost-effective healthcare and generate scientific approach to reduce cost of care

PSO5: Gain knowledge for analysis and usage of appropriate strategies for effective planning, Implementation and evaluation of institutional and community based health and family welfare program.
