Program Overview
The Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Electrical and Computer Engineering merges theoretical knowledge with hands-on expertise in electrical systems and computer technology. The comprehensive curriculum covers electronics, computer programming, and hardware design. Students gain proficiency in crafting cutting-edge solutions, preparing them for dynamic roles in sectors like telecommunications, embedded systems, and information technology. This program equips graduates to innovate and lead in the ever-evolving landscape of electrical and computer engineering.
Duration- 4 Years Program
Eligibility
Pass in 10+2 with atleast 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidates belonging to ST/SC/OBC/SBC) in Mathematics, Physics and anyone subject out of Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Electronics/ Information Technology/ Biology/ Informatics Practices/ Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational Subject/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies/ Entreprenuership.
Lateral Entry
- Pass in 10+3 or 12+2 year Diploma in Engineering
- B.Sc Degree with Maths in 10+2 and the student needs to clear the subjects Engineering Graphics/ Engineering Drawing and Engineering Mechanics of the 1st year Engineering Programme along with the 2nd year subjects.

Scholarship Award and Criteria
- The scholarship is granted based on the tuition fee
- Scholarships are determined based on the aggregate marks of the best five subjects, with preference given to Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in B.Tech.
- If the percentage has already been calculated by the board & mentioned on the marksheet, that will be considered and there will be no opportunity to recalculate using the best five subjects
- Awarded to 2024 & 2025 (10+2) pass-out students only
Eligibility and Restrictions
- Students with a compartment in 12th are ineligible for UG program scholarships, even with provisional admission
- Each student can receive only one scholarship at a time.
- No changes to scholarship category are allowed during the same or later years of the program
- It is not possible to change the type of scholarship/ category
Scholarship Continuation Criteria
- Continuation is based on the SGPA of the previous year (Theory Papers Only)
- Backlogs in the previous year lead to scholarship discontinuation for all upcoming years.
- Once discontinued, a scholarship will not be reinstated during the remaining duration of the program.

Award of Scholarship:

- Awarded to all eligible students for admission and throughout the entire program duration
Poornima University Gramin Shiksha Yojna:
- Scholarship covers tuition and development fees
- Adopted Gram Panchayats: Beelwa, Ashawala, Vidhani, Bari ka Bas, Shree Ram Ki Nangal, and Chandlai
- Maximum 5 students from each village based on the merit list
- Minimum 60% marks in 12th is required.
- Schooling must be from the same village
Scholarship Continuity:
- The type of scholarship or category cannot be changed in the future
- Students receive the same scholarship type in future years, meeting the requirements
Scholarship for Children of Defence Personnel and Working Defence Personnel:
- Applicable to wards of Indian Army, Indian Navy, and Indian Air Force personnel
- Open to those who have served or are currently serving in the defence forces
